App privacy
For the Rogeha Scene app. Last updated 19 October 2026. The website has its own policy on the Privacy page.
Rogeha Scene turns a video or a folder of photos into a 3D scene, made of Triangle Splatting+ triangles or 3D Gaussian splats, and shows the result in a built-in 3D viewer. The heavy work runs on a graphics card you rent, under your own account, from Vast.ai or RunPod. It is made by Rogeha Studio. It has no account and no server of ours, and no advertising, no analytics and no crash reporting. Nothing is sold or passed on.
Rogeha Scene is a Windows desktop app. It is not in the Microsoft Store yet.
Who is responsible
- Responsible
- Rogeha Studio
- support@rogehastudio.com
For what Vast.ai, RunPod or the host of a rented machine does with data, that company is responsible under its own terms; see What leaves the PC.
What the app stores, on your PC
- a folder for each run under %USERPROFILE%\Rogeha Scene\runs, holding run.json (the run's name, the path of the video or photos you chose, the options, progress, cost and a log), the results downloaded from the rented machine, and copies of the scripts sent to it;
- %USERPROFILE%\Rogeha Scene\settings.json, with the method you chose;
- an SSH key used only to reach the machines you rent, in %USERPROFILE%\.ssh\trisplat_vast;
- your Vast.ai and RunPod API keys, if you saved them with the tools that come with the app, as the Windows user environment variables VAST_API_KEY and RUNPOD_API_KEY. They are not encrypted: programs running under your Windows account can read them.
The app does not copy your photos or video: they stay where you keep them. If a folder of yours is synced to OneDrive or another service, what is in it is uploaded under your account with that service.
What leaves the PC
To the GPU provider you choose
Only when you start a run, sent from your PC under your own account and API key with Vast.ai or RunPod:
- The provider's API: the app asks for offers and prices, rents a machine, checks its status, reads your balance and deletes the machine when the run is over.
- Your capture: the photos or the video are uploaded over SSH to the rented machine. That machine is run by a third-party host, which may be in another country. You can filter offers by region; on Vast.ai, hosts in China are left out by default.
- Software for the machine: the machine itself downloads what it needs: Ubuntu packages, code from GitHub, Python packages from PyPI and a PyTorch image from Docker Hub.
- The results come back to your PC: the mesh or the Gaussians, the camera positions, the logs and a preview frame.
- The machine is destroyed, with your files on it, when the run ends. A watchdog on the machine also destroys it once the time limit you set is reached, even if your PC is switched off or loses its connection.
Your API keys go only to the provider's API. The rented machine gets the public half of the app's SSH key, so your PC can log in to it, and the watchdog uses a key the provider gives that one machine, not yours.
Photos and videos can show people or the inside of a home, and cameras often store the place they were taken in the file. Choose what you capture and upload with that in mind.
What the providers and hosts do with this is set by their own terms: Vast.ai privacy policy and RunPod privacy policy. Payment is between you and the provider; Rogeha Studio never sees your payment details.
To rogehastudio.com
Only when you open the links in the app's About window: Privacy policy and Impressum open this website in your browser, and the website's privacy policy applies. The support address starts a new email in your mail app, which is sent only if you send it.
What the app can see and do
- Files you choose: the video or the folder of photos you pick for a run, and its own folders listed above.
- The internet, only to reach the provider's API and the machines you rent.
- Your environment variables VAST_API_KEY and RUNPOD_API_KEY, to use your keys.
Like most Windows desktop apps, Rogeha Scene runs with full access to your user account. It uses that access only for the things listed here.
How long data is kept
- On your PC: runs, settings, the SSH key and the API keys until you delete them.
- On a rented machine: until the run ends or the time limit is reached; then the machine is destroyed.
- At Vast.ai or RunPod: your account and billing records, as their terms say.
Deleting your data
Delete the folder %USERPROFILE%\Rogeha Scene (the runs and settings.json; before the app was renamed it was %USERPROFILE%\TriSplat Studio, which the app moves there on its first start), the key %USERPROFILE%\.ssh\trisplat_vast, and the environment variables VAST_API_KEY and RUNPOD_API_KEY (Windows Settings > System > About > Advanced system settings > Environment Variables).
The app deletes the machines it rents. If one is ever left over, delete it in the provider's console: cloud.vast.ai or console.runpod.io. For your account with a provider, ask the provider.
We hold no data about you, so there is nothing to delete on our side.
Your rights
You can ask what personal data about you is processed, and have it corrected or deleted. Write to support@rogehastudio.com. For data held by Vast.ai, RunPod or a host, turn to them. You can also turn to the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
Children
The app is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
